The Hvid Cocoon offers ultimate security for your baby. This beautifully knitted cocoon, made of 100% merino wool, creates a cozy and safe environment where your little one can relax. Suitable from birth, the cocoon grows with your little one until approximately 8 months. You can use the hood or leave the arms outside the cocoon, depending on your baby's preference. Merino wool is self-cleaning and only needs occasional airing. For minor stains, hand washing with lukewarm water (max. 30°C) and a mild wool detergent is sufficient.

How do you wash Hvid knitwear?
Merino wool is self-cleaning and therefore requires less frequent washing. Simply airing the items outside is often sufficient. If your Hvid item does need a wash, follow these steps:

No pre-wash required: Hvid products are pre-washed, so an extra wash before use is not necessary.
Hand wash recommended: Wash by hand in lukewarm water (max. 20°C) with a few drops of mild (organic) wool detergent.
Do not soak: Submerge the product in water and wash it gently, but do not leave it in the water for too long. Avoid temperature fluctuations and friction to prevent shrinkage.
Rinsing and drying: Rinse the detergent with water of the same temperature. Lay the product flat on a towel and gently roll out the excess water without wringing.
Dry flat: Let it dry flat, out of direct sunlight and away from a heat source.
Stain removal: For small stains such as milk, you can simply use a damp cloth without having to wash the entire product.
Ironing and steaming: If necessary, you can lightly steam or iron the product on a wool program.

Merino wool contains lanolin, a natural antibacterial substance that makes the wool self-cleaning and helps repel odors. The less you wash it, the longer its protective properties last.
